Yesterday morning, our team excavated the first nest on Playa Chikitu of the 2025 nesting season and it was… awesome! We counted 116 empty egg shells, meaning that 116 baby green turtles emerged from the nest. In addition, we only found three eggs that had not developed and upon closer inspection, we noticed that these eggs were not fertilised.
