Known as “The Meteor,” this massive steel fragment is one of the most striking remnants recovered from the World Trade Center site after the September 11, 2001 attacks. Weighing several tons, it is believed to consist of approximately four to five floors of the tower compressed together by the immense force of the collapse, forming a dense, contorted shape that resembles a fallen celestial object. Its warped beams and fused metal illustrate the extraordinary structural stresses generated in mome
