Sunny skies are across the state, but with a breezy wind in the plains Thursday and Friday, there is enhanced fire danger in those areas.

Prepare to bundle up! Much colder conditions are expected across Southwest and Central Virginia through the end of the week. Flurries and snow showers may pass through areas west of the Blue Ridge on Thursday morning.

Models begin to hint at a possible turn to onshore flow by early next week as well, which could nudge our temperatures closer to average with weaker winds.
